At some points, when a new PHP version comes available, our servers may host multiple versions of PHP. We do this so sites with older coding can continue to use older supported versions, while allowing our clients to have the opportunity to make use of the most recent stable releases. When multiple PHP versions are available, all accounts will be set up with the most stable/commonly used version, but some clients might prefer to change. Here's a quick How-To.

Step One: Log In To cPanel

All changes to your account will be done via cPanel or the portal. If you need assistance in finding/changing your cPanel login information to gain access, please log in to the portal and start a ticket. We will be happy to help you.

Step Two: Find MultiPHP Manager

You can type in PHP in the top search bar to easily sort the content in cPanel and find the MultiPHP Manager. Click on the words or icon.

Step Three: Change PHP Version

Once you've entered this section, it will give you a list of the domains in your cPanel account to change. Most only have one, but with add-on domains you may have more than one. You can change them all at once, or one at a time. Check the box next to the domain you want to change. Next choose the PHP version you want to change to in the drop down and click Apply.

What If There's Only One Version?

If you only see one version in the drop down, that means your server doesn't currently have multiple PHP versions installed. If there is a version that is stable and supported you would like to use, please enter a ticket and we can add it for you.

Step Four: Check Your Site

Once you've made this change, you'll want to go through your site and make sure everything's working like you expect it to. If anything isn't, I recommend researching the scripts or plugins you're using to see which one might not be compatible and change to something that does work with the version of PHP you're trying to use.
