Our Story
Affordable, reliable hosting solutions with friendly support is our thing.
Our little hosting company was created in 2001 to fill a need many website creators had, web hosting that was both affordable and reliable. At the time, web hosting was expensive, offering packages with very limited options and barely enough space and bandwidth for a basic static site. Eventually, cheaper options did become available but the issues with cheap hosting arose when those businesses were packing clients onto servers that didn’t have the resources to sustain them, causing lackluster uptime. E-Starr was created to be both affordable and reliable to enable more people access to creating a website for their hobbies, businesses, organizations, and even sometimes for schoolwork.
As a “mom and pop” sort of hosting company, we have been able to keep a personal relationship with our clients and maintain a two-way loyalty system. By choosing to remain true to our roots and continuing to provide the personalized service clients have come to know, those clients have chosen to stay with E-Starr and return when they need more services.
Over time we have been able to extend our partnerships beyond domain registration to offer other services related to hosting, including SSL Certificates, Site Builders, Business Email, and offsite backups. Thanks to these partnerships E-Starr has become a one-stop-shop for our clients, negating the need for multiple accounts with multiple companies they must keep track of.
Because we don’t have shareholders (this is a family run business), we don’t have to raise our prices to increase profits every quarter and we can invest in providing more value to our clients through content, services, and great customer service. Although our costs do rise from time to time, we do our best to find ways to keep the impact on clients as low as possible.
